Typical execution sequence includes casing cold cutting, precision bevel preparation, cleaning and inspection, fit-up, controlled preheating to the specified WPS requirements, welding execution, final inspection and integrity testing.
01Cold cutMachine the casing to the required elevation using a controlled cold-cutting method.02Bevel & cleanPrepare the weld bevel and remove scale, oil and contamination from the joint area.03Inspect & fit-upVerify dimensions, alignment and root gap before securing the wellhead for welding.04PreheatApply controlled preheating and confirm the required temperature before welding starts.05Weld to WPSExecute the weld in accordance with the approved Welding Procedure Specification (WPS).06InspectComplete visual inspection and required post-weld integrity verification before acceptance.
